In solutions, the value of electrical conductivity (EC) is directly proportional to the concentration of total solutions of the salts: the higher the concentration of salts, the higher the electrical conductivity.

In the process of plant nutrition management, it is necessary to constantly monitor the EC value of irrigation water and nutrient solutions, especially in closed irrigation systems and all types of hydro crops.
